Paul reminds the church that we are called to be saints. The church is to live in a holy manner, meaning we should be set apart from this world and for God. As the church in Corinth found out, this is not easy to do. When given the opportunity to be accepted by our peers or to be outcasted, the flesh will always fight to be accepted. So Paul reminds the church in Corinth and us that we have everything we need in Christ in order to accomplish living as saints. But it won’t be on our own effort or power. It will be done by Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit.
