Loving God and Others by Making Disciples who Make Disciples

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 Christ and Him Crucified

The crucifixion of Christ is a stumbling block for some and considered folly by others. It’s tempting to preach Christ without emphasizing the Crucifixion to avoid these challenges. However, when we do this, we are no longer preaching the true Gospel. Instead, we reduce Christ to merely a moral figure to emulate or a teacher to learn from, missing the essence of His mission. Christ came to bring peace between God and humanity by becoming the ultimate sacrifice on the Cross. Any message that omits the Cross is void of power and lacks the ability to save. Before we can follow Christ, we must first pick up our own Cross. The Cross is the only access to God’s power and the only path to salvation.
